Steel: The people manage to break down the door. As they flood into the already crowded house, trampling a person awake, you have a look at them. There's a male dwarf with an oversized battle-axe, wielding it rather clumsily. There's also 2 oversized human males with halberds that look functionally identical and another human with a sword. The dwarf aims his tirade at you.

"IT'S ZEL-ER-NIN. THAT'S HOW YOU PRONOUNCE IT. ARE ALL OF YOU PEASANTS TO DUMB TO UNDERSTAND?"

He then turns his attention to waking up all the neighbors with his loud shouting.

"I REPEAT, DO WE HAVE ANY MAGIC CASTERS BETTER THAN BUBBLE BOY OVER HERE."

"I've worked there for years. Of course I'll defend it."

I wait for the trance to end.

MK: You're currently just the messenger of a noble. You have no real talents, except maybe for the extraordinary amount of luck you've been getting recently... Up until you were tripped. I guess good luck streaks have to run out sometime.

The receptionist meekly shuffles papers around, seemingly looking for something, and apologises to the impatient... Person. You think it's a Druid.

Then the receptionist peeks her head up and sees you, standing there, and something seems to click in her head.

"You're Lucette's messenger, and this is her wax seal... Which means this person stole it off you..."

At this point the Druid becomes enraged. You swear you've never noticed the receptionist before, but what she says is true. The Druid, however, pulls out some kind of vine from their sleeve, and wields it menacingly. Their copper adventurer's plate and dark necklace mean that they should be feared for someone like yourself.

"Heh, I was going to take the money and run, and if anyone investigates, they'll think you ran off with the money. It was going to be perfect! But then you had to show up and ruin it. So... I think I should kill you. I got nothing to lose, I can just dye my hair another color and slip back into the night! Ha ha ha."


Gordy: The hooded figure nods his head.

"Alright. However, because of the charm placed on you you won't be able to leave this trance normally. You seem to have a talent for resisting mental effects, so I can just increase that and th"

The darkness around you suddenly shatters and you come to your senses. Half of the store is currently on fire, with it spreading dramatically out of control. The store owner lays dead on the floor in the corner, engulfed in flames. You feel a brute dragging you towards the fire, as the other adventurers hastily loot the place.

You hear some very loud swearing before the hooded figure in your dream appears at the entrance: Hood flipped back by his running to reveal his skeleton form. He sees you awake and staring at him, swears even louder, then yells {CONE OF FROST} with his hand pointed at you.


A cone of frost engulfs his hand before shooting out towards you, knocking the brute into the fire, simultaneously putting out a corner of it and implement freezes him, tearing your shirt as he loses grip of it. Some of the spell hits your arm and where it does becomes extremely cold, but you mentally brush it off.

The other 3 adventurers turn towards you, in shock. They haven't noticed the skeleton at the entrance yet.


Steel: "DAMN IT, YOU'LL DO."

He orders the humans to grab you, but they're stopped by a hand forcibly holding one of them back. The dwarf looks at the humans, shocked at the development, and then time seems to slow down slightly before dramatically stopping.

After some time you realize you can still move. The guy who's hand was holding the human back appears in the entrance. He looks human, but has a definite limp impeding his progress, as he moves over to you.

I fire a {Magic Missile} at the other brute.
