Gordy: There's not much left of the store. The fire has mostly gone out, but it managed to light up and destroy three quarters of the place. The brute who was hit by a cone of frost is frozen and unconscious, the other brute is also unconscious, and the girl is struggling to get out from under him. The original hooded figure is currently in a state of hypothermia, after being hit by so many ice spells: even if he wasn't the target.
Mentally you shrug off the cold. The skeleton raises his hood up and walks off as 2 members of the royal guard rush inside, clad in their chain mail armor with gold lines painted horizontally across it. They take one look at the adventurers, shake their head and call in soldiers to take them away. One of the guards speaks to you, in an assuring manner.
"That was a group of rogue workers called 'Sunlight'. They've been going around and lighting fires, and basically extorting hard working buisness owners. You should be fine... Hand on. Why is this place semi-frozen?"
The other guard member looks at you suspiciously, as if trying to judge up your power, before sighing.
"It can't be the doorman, chief. No residual ice magic. The girl... Knows wild magic. That might've backfired, especially if they were using fire magic to set the whole store alight."
Steel: The guy smiles. He seems to be trying to figure you out, and as some time goes on he becomes lost in thought as he starts talking aloud.
"Alright. He knows how to use bubbles, huh. So he probably has an affinity for water magic, so something like a water stream would be useful... But I guess he'll want to keep with the tradition of using bubbles? If so, he'll probably need to learn how to add modifiers to your bubbles... Yeah, like Zio or some acid, possibly exploding when popped. He'll also need to learn to control bubbles... Which will be the first step. Right."
He quickly returns to the normal world, and as if he never said anything pulls out a canteen.
"Mind casting bubble for me? I want to show you something."
MK: You do so. The dodge to the right makes the vine cut into your left arm and you can feel the poison flow through you... But it doesn't seem to have an effect.
You hear an adventurer walking into the guild complaining about their new sword just before you hit the Druid right in the back of their knee, forcing them to lurch forwards, knocking over the adventurer, and causing the sword to be knocked towards you.
Instinctively, you pick up the sword. It's grey, slightly blunt on one side, and feels like it's made from a mixture of iron and steel.
The Druid slowly gets up, now limping noticeably. It appears your kick did some damage.
"Heh, that's pretty good. But I'm afraid I'm still better."
She sends out more plants which wrap around her leg, and seem to be slowly supporting and healing it.
