I rolled a 7 (+3 for wisdom) = 10. You detect kobolds in the bushes because their roll was a 3. I rolled a 10, plus whatever bonuses I have. That makes it 13, which allows you to easily detect kobolds in the trees. (In case you haven't noticed, kobolds are everywhere.) "Well, it's finally time I step out, to em8ark on the gr8 adventure my Ancestor spoke of... And even though this house, those I knew as Mother and Father, have 8een good to me and protected me from the rest of this d8ngerous world... what will I achieve if I continue hiding from everything?"Helion walks up to the table and takes an old-looking book with a Scorpio symbol on the cover. "This diary for me is like a compass in the sea of am8iguity that is my origins. It has 8een with me from the day of my 8irth, yet I feel like I am still yet to understand the true meaning and value of what my Ancestor has written here..."He then looks at his room for the last time, says good8ye to the old house and his parents and begins his journey to Haven. You leave the room you were standing in, ready to adventure to Haven. The fastest path will require you travel through an Ogre camp. Your natural cunning should allow you to sneak by undetected, though. Whether you will or not is up to your ability. Sigh. "Time to be off, I suppose." Fondly regard my Shitty Rapier before setting off in what is hopefully toward Haven. You make haste towards Haven, ready for the arduous journey ahead. You can see some green shapes moving in the distance. Roll a perception check? SET OUT NOW I take off for Haven, strolling through the landscape and singing some old Elven songs. Your singing is above average, but the song itself is, for lack of a better phrase, one that would live on throughout history. Your great intelligence means that your words aren't going to be lost in translation anytime soon. Pebbles land at your feet. Roll a perception check? "Well, so far it's never steered me wrong." Head towards the town of haven. You make your way to Haven, guided by the forces you usually let guide your soul. They suddenly urge you to stop; a pitfall trap. It must be the work of enemies, but where? Roll a perception check.
