Steel: Aenon nods his head.
"Hmm... I've got an idea. There's a spell I know which might be useful as both restorative and damage for a bubble-based caster. It's called 'Draining Allure'. You cast it on a beautiful object or person, and it basically drains health and mana from the target who stares at it, and transfers it to the caster. It also has the neat effect of becoming stronger the more people stare into it.
If this is too weird of a spell to learn, I can teach you some ordinary {MENTAL RECONSTRUCTION} and then some offensive magic."
As he casts the spell, you feel your exhaustion slowly fall away and your mind restructure slightly, but enough to notice a stronger resilience and endurance, mentally.
Gordy: "He gave you magic missile, but also gave you magic missiles... Also he never gave y"
The librarian suddenly speaks out.
"My Lord, I never gave him such a strong spell. I did not think he could handle Rank 4."
The skeleton lord then nods his head.
"I believe you... It appears he can't actually handle casting a Rank 4 spell... Which means that the human must've learned it himself... Shortly after he learned ordinary magic missile. These spells are remarkably similar... It seems your innate talents are automatically learning similar spells, as well as a high mental resistance, which despite what you assumed the librarian only strengthened, without giving you any magic resistance."
He stops speaking, adjusts his posture slightly, and thinks for a moment. However, despite this simple action, you immediately have doubts spread into your head about this whole thing. You try to restrain from shaking, and barely manage it.
"Hmm... His mental resistance isn't as good as I thought... But it should be enough."
The doubts leave your mind as quickly as they arrived.
"Now, do you have anything you would like to ask?"
MK: In a confused state, the Druid makes no attempt to dodge as you slash at her with skill beyond onlooker's expectations. Managing to hit where your first slash landed, the Druid is forced to take a step back from the pain and collapses into the ground, and starts begging for your mercy.
The adventurer seems to wonder about how you slashed as the coin landed, before shrugging and leaving the Guild.
The receptionist, however, appears horrified at this sudden turn of events, hands you what the Druid came to get and hides under her desk.
The voice in your head speaks again. This time, he sounds proud of your achievements.
"Well done. I don't care what you do with the Druid, but if you want me to explain myself, meet me in the alley where you were tripped, tomorrow. If you want to live a normal life... I won't talk to you again. Goodbye."
